Math Assessment (Undergraduate)

Appropriate placement into first college mathematics and science courses is extremely important to ensure student success in future courses. Success in any mathematics and science course requires appropriate prerequisite knowledge. Students are much more likely to succeed when they are enrolled in the appropriate courses. Students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics, and students in accelerated programs from the College of Health Professions (Public Health 3+3 Pre-PT, Exercise Science 3+2 Pre-PA, HCAM- Medical Device Sales, HCAM 3+2 Pre-PA, HCAM 3+3 Pre-PT) are required to take the mathematics assessment at least two weeks prior to orientation.

Further details and instructions can be found at www.sru.edu/mathassessment. The mathematics assessment is free, available online and takes one to two hours to complete. The assessment can be taken multiple times and, upon completion, personalized learning modules will provide the opportunity to improve your score in subsequent attempts.
