Institutions and Human Innovation
This thread explores a variety of human institutions across politics, the arts, economics and other aspects of societies. Students will be able to make connections between characteristics of human institutions and the broader societies that created them, evaluate relationships between institutional past practices and contemporary successes or failures in innovation, and analyze systemic structures that influence the relationships humans have with each other and with the natural world.
Thread Outcomes:

- Students will engage in integrative learning across the curriculum and co-curriculum, making simple connections among ideas and experiences to synthesizing and transferring learning to new, complex situations within and beyond the campus. (UG 05)
