Human Diversity and Well-Being

This thread explores the importance of choices, decisions or activities that humans make which enhance our physical or emotional, mental well-being. Courses will explore the political, social, psychological, or biological identities that emerge, express themselves, and change in diverse settings. Across a range of disciplines, students will have opportunities to assess the past, present or future mental, social, economic, cultural or political challenges to individual and group identities.

Thread Outcomes:

  • Students will be able to analyze connections between human diversity and well-being. (UG 02)
  • Students will engage in integrative learning across the curriculum and co-curriculum, making simple connections among ideas and experiences to synthesizing and transferring learning to new, complex situations within and beyond the campus. (UG 05)
  • Students will engage in applied learning across the curriculum and co-curriculum, making simple connections among ideas and experiences to synthesizing and transferring learning to new, complex situations within and beyond the campus. (UG 02)
