Slippery Rock University

Conservation, Technology and Imagination

This thread examines the impact of changing technologies on social organization, culture, and human well-being. Some courses will explore the relationships between people and the non-human world through creative and/or scientific lenses. Other courses will explore technological and environmental challenges facing society and even develop imaginative responses.

Thread Outcomes:

  • Students will be able to explain connections between conservation, technology, and imagination. (UG 02)
  • Students will engage in integrative learning across the curriculum and co-curriculum, making simple connections among ideas and experiences to synthesizing and transferring learning to new, complex situations within and beyond the campus. (UG 05)
  • Students will engage in applied learning across the curriculum and co-curriculum, making simple connections among ideas and experiences to synthesizing and transferring learning to new, complex situations within and beyond the campus. (UG 02)
