Theatre, Minor
The Theatre Minor is designed to offer students a variety of paths through the curriculum. Through specific choices at the intermediate level and advanced levels, students can effectively complete a Theatre Minor in Acting, Musical Theatre, Design & Technology, Theatre Arts Management, or Theatre Studies. Department faculty can work directly with students to choose the path best suited for their educational goals.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students in the Theatre Minor will gain foundational and advanced skills various elements within the theatre arts. In addition to academic studies, which will enhance students' experiences within their chosen major, students are also eligible for all of the production, enhancement and performance opportunities that are extended to our Theatre majors.
Students will:
- gain foundational and advanced skills in various elements within the theatre arts (University Outcomes 1,2,5,6)
- gain production experience through production, enhancement and performance opportunities. (University Outcomes 1,2,5,6)

- Students must complete at least 6 credit hours in their minor from SRU
- A minimum of 6 credit hours must be upper division (courses numbered 300 and above)
- A minor shall be no fewer than 18 credits.
