Dance: Performance, Minor

The Dance Performance Minor enhances knowledge and execution of dance technique and performance. Studio practice classes in Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Ballet, Improvisation, Repertory, and Dances of Selected Cultures, among others, will prepare the student with a foundation of technical and creative tools needed to succeed in Musical Theatre and other areas. This minor is open to any student interested in furthering their technical and performance level in dance, and is particularly popular among BFA students in Musical Theatre. Graduates with this minor may pursue careers in Musical Theatre and other performance opportunities, dance studio teaching, and dance in the community. An audition is required for acceptance to the Dance Performance Minor.
