Gender and Diversity
Gender and Diversity Thematic Thread
In an increasingly global community, it is important to understand and respect diverse perspectives in an intersectional and interdisciplinary context. The Gender and Diversity Thread invites students to learn more about privilege and oppression as systemic and structural and, in doing so, to learn more about themselves and their communities. Students will also learn about different cultural constructs which influence our values and behaviors; the power of individual agency; and opportunities to become advocates for social justice.
