Building a Healthy Society
Building a Healthy Society Thematic Thread
“No man is an island.” John Donne’s decree is a call to look outside of ourselves in order to contribute to the well-being of the whole. In a healthy society, a complex range of human needs are considered and met. Health and safety. Social justice. Environmental wellness. Engagement with the arts & humanities. This thematic thread introduces students to the roles that various disciplines play in building and maintaining healthy societies.
