Physical Therapy 3 + 3 - Therapeutic Recreation (BS)

The development of this 3+3 program will give Slippery Rock University
students an additional option to earn a Doctorate degree in Physical
Therapy (DPT) in six years rather than seven. The Therapeutic
Recreation 3+3 option may appeal to students who have interest in a
curriculum that combines both theory and practical experiences related
to working with individuals with disabilities.
Students must maintain a 3.0 or higher overall QPA, may not have
more than two “W” grades in a required course in the 3+3 block, and may
only be in the 3+3 program for a maximum of three years full-time
continuous enrollment. |

Substitute PT requirements for BIOL 217, CHEM 108, and PHYS 202 Certification Requirements - Credits: 15
These courses must be completed by the student to be eligble to take NCTRC certification exam.
ERS 264 and ERS 375 will be replaced by PT 630 and PT 548 during DPT Semester I. Degree Completion in Four Years - 3+3 PT Therapeutic Recreation
